The weather is starting to come around with projected highs in the 50’s starting tomorrow and going in to the 60’s by Sunday. This time last year, we were already spawning. As most of you know, this is a weather dependent business when it comes to spawning and raising our “new crop” of fish. This delay in warmth means a later start and a longer span between our “old crop” and our “new crop”. We have started all of our pre-spawning preparation and our brood fish are ready to supply the next season’s crop of fish. We are all excitedly waiting for this warm weather so we can get this Spring season and our spawning started. It’s been a long winter!
We will have plenty of what we call “pool” fish to fill those outdoor ponds for this upcoming season – Large comet goldfish, shubunkins, Sarasa comets and Koi. So keep your fingers crossed that the weather starts to warm up and we can ship these nice large “pool” fish to fill your customer’s water gardens. Watch our weekly availability (faxed or emailed to our customers) to see what we have.
